RED HOT - Palazzo Pants

Stack away your skinny denims, jeggings and leggings and head off for these colorful, loose and grand trousers instead. A palazzo pant is a wide, elegant trouser and tends to be flattering in light, flowing fabrics. It enables you to look summery and feel cool without exposing any skin ( sometimes yay for that!). They are comfortable and yet one of the most stylish way to beat the heat.

I have put together three different looks with one pair of palazzo pants to show how versatile these pants are .

First up, a very casual look.Bright colored palazzo pants with a printed top and light makeup for a power day look .

Red palazzo casual look
Second, a little jazzed up semi-formal look.Color-blocked red palazzo pants with a vibrant pink shirt and minimal accessories. You can wear this to an elegant dinner or a night out .

Last, a formal look with a sequined collar white shirt complete with a dainty clutch. A very formal outfit for work or a business meet.

So one pant gives you three looks, What a money saver girls !

Not only are these pants available in single colors, but also in different floral and          geometrical prints .And do they look cool .

My personal favs are the sheer palazzo pants . They are so voguish and surely a head turner .

Few Styling tips :

  • Pair up plain palazzos with floral, tribal or graphic prints.
  • Pair up printed palazzo with with plain summery top .
  • Tuck your shirt/top/blouse in when wearing it with Palazzos. This makes you look taller.
  • To pep up the look add on colorful scarve, belts, bangles, earrings etc.

So what are you waiting for, get this refreshing look till it is the right reason .

Trending - Hemline Skirts

Trending - Hemline Skirts

Latest trend thats a must try is a hemline/waterfall skirt. They are trendy, chic, flirty and affordable. The skirt is short from the front dipping or dropping into longer hem at the back. An easy new shape to freshen up your wardrobe; the hemline skirt is a great transitional trend. The best part, these mash up are extremely versatile and let's see how .

They are available in all kind of prints and fabrics . Team up a plain skirt with a floral or printed bustier ( like above ) or even a puffed mid-sleeved top. If the skirt is floral, then do the opposite, opt for a plain top. Add a feminine belt to jazz it up .

You can also opt for bold and bright colors in the skirt.

To play is differently you can mix and match the skirt with crochet and net tops.

My personal favorite is teaming up the skirts with plain, polka dots or stripped shirts . This look will surely make you stand out from amongst the crowd .

So what are you waiting for now. Put this trend in the shopping list of your weekend and choose among the styles you like the best to make the style statement you always wanted. Last but not the least a little tip here, if your waist line is your problem area, you might be better off without this look. For talls girls like me, check that the length of the skirt is appropriate because if its short, it just kills the look. Happy shopping girlies !

My commercial print ad shoot

Fashion styling for Hindware print ad shoot

So mumbai has something good stored for everyone. The city has its spell on everyone indeed !

Following are the pics from the Hindware print ad shoot. I along with a very dear friend of mine Sankshep ( I prefer to call him sexo though ) did the fashion styling of the shoot. We had 4 days in hand to put together the looks for the model. That meant travelling to every fashionable place in the city to source the apparel & accessories. From malls to bandra to lokhandwala and colaba , we explored every nook and corner of the city to get the best possible creations because for us fashion is all about perfection :) .

Then arrived the D-day of the shoot. It was at a studio in malad. First and foremost we had a very own makeup room with LIGHTS , CAMERA and ACTION ! But shooting is all hard work and a lot of patience especially when your work starts at only 4 pm. Mumbai's ace photographer Suresh Natarajan was the photographer for the shoot. One word for the man 'Inspiring'. If you are that humble when you are successful means you are really really successful. With six options for two looks and 3 changes , we managed to pull the shoot successfully .

A work is well done when it is appreciated by one and all.  Fortunately this was the case with us , everyone present on shoot appreciated our sense of style and glamour. The looks were inspired by our our own  fashion sense and in the end we followed our heart in doing something we truly believe in. The perfect day ended in a perfect way with some cocktails *wink *. Truly, a legendary day .

P.S. : A big Thank you to my adorable friends Sneha , Apeksha & Karan . Couldn't have done it without you guys.
